Cellistra is the only professional cello ensemble in Hong Kong. Drawn from Hong Kong’s finest musicians, its members share a commitment to music-making at the highest level of excellence. The ensemble has been invited periodically for concert performances and cultural exchange activities in the Greater China, along with its increasing extent of exposure abroad. Cellistra’s repertoire ranges from traditional repertories to original compositions commissioned by the ensemble. In addition to perform as a group comprising principal members, Cellistra enjoys collaborative alliances with distinguished artists and members of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, and Shanghai Symphony Orchestra.
